The Regional Executive Council
What We Do?
With the Administrative Bishop, the Regional Council have supervision over the Region's treasury in accordance with the Minutes of the International General Assembly, Church of God [73 A. 2010]. The Regional Council is accountable to the Administrative Bishop and will meet as often as the Ministers and Administrative Bishop deem it necessary.
The Regional Council and Administrative Bishop is accountable to the members, through presentation of its business plan, annual reports, and financial statements. The Regional Council counsels and acts with the Administrative Bishop, in the study and preparation of recommendations for the Regional Minister's Conference [43rd A., 1950, pp. 19, 20].
Regional Council Composition
The ministers of the Region, in conference, elects a Board of not less than eight Councilors to advise the Regional Administrative Bishop (The Regional Administrative Bishop serves as an ex-officio chairman on the Regional Council). The Councilmen must be Ordained Bishops, Ordained Ministers may be appointed as Councilmen by the General Overseer of the Church of God on recommendation of the Administrative Bishop, if the number of Bishops were not elected by the ministers.
