​The Corporation traces its roots back to 1886, where the Church of God was started by eight members, in a meeting located at Barney Creek in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee, United States. Since its inception, the Church of God has grown into a global movement, located in over 186 countries with membership approaching four (4) million, and a mission of ministry to meet the demands and challenges of the 21st Century.
