DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND MINISTERIAL DEVELOPMENT
The Church of God Department of Education and Ministerial Development seeks to provide education to a wide area of responsibilities for training our ministers and for training our laity. We create opportunities to serve ministers and laity who have a strong desire to minister within the church and larger community. The Division of Education coordinates the necessary programs for ministry advancement, such as Calling And Ministry Studies (CAMS) and Ministerial Internship Program (MIP). |
PENSION PLAN
Pension Plan include:
Senior PastorsEmployer will contribute one per cent of member earnings (your basic salary excluding overtime and bonuses). If the member elect to make an optional contribution, the employer will contribute an amount equal to 50 per cent of the member’s optional contributionSupport PastorsEmployer will contribute one per cent of member earnings (your basic salary excluding overtime and bonuses). Grand-Fathered PastorsEmployer will contribute three per cent of the member earnings (your basic salary excluding overtime and bonuses). MINISTERS INSURANCE
Church of God in Ontario Group Benefit Plan is managed by Green Shield Canada - Canada’s only national not-for-profit health specialist, and their reason for being is the enhancement of the common good. Church of God in Ontario seeks innovative ways to improve access to better health for Canadians. The Group Benefit/Ministers Insurance Plan delivery includes drug, dental, extended health care, vision, hospital and travel benefits for ministers and administrative staff. |
MARRIAGE LICENSE
Members are asked to submit to the Regional Office all change in status/updates to their information in order to maintain their marriage license or remain in good standing with the Government of Ontario requirements under the Marriage Act. To maintain eligibility of your marriage license a minister must in good standing with Church of God as outlined in the Minutes of the International General Assembly. Your failure to do so may cause revocation of your ministerial and marriage licenses. |
